A Time of Flight sensor projects an infrared beam to measure distance from hair and scalp, automatically reducing air temperature as the dryer gets closer for Scalp Protect mode. A Hall sensor recognises which of the 5 intelligent attachments is fitted — including the new Wave+Curl Diffuser — and automatically applies the right airflow and heat settings, while an accelerometer detects when the dryer is put down and deactivates the heater to save power and reduce noise. Rated at 1600W with roughly 13.3 L/s airflow and a 2.62m cable, it’s built to dry fast while protecting hair shine and scalp health.
