The Tefal Malaga XL is a 2000W electric plancha built around a large 50 x 26.5cm non-stick cooking plate, sized to grill meat, fish, vegetables and eggs for 6 to 8 people in one pass. An adjustable multi-position thermostat sets the temperature to suit whatever is being cooked, and the built-in Thermo-Spot indicator turns red once the plate has finished preheating so food goes on at the right moment. A grease and juice collection tray sits under the plate to keep the cooking area tidy, and the plate itself is dishwasher-safe (the electric base is not). A straightforward, family-sized alternative to an outdoor barbecue for anyone cooking for a group indoors.
