The ROG Crosshair X870E Hero BTF is ASUS’s top-tier AMD X870E board in Back-To-The-Future form: the 24-pin, EPS, fan and front-panel headers sit on the reverse of the PCB, so in a BTF-compatible case every cable disappears behind the motherboard tray. Electrically it is the Crosshair Hero — a heavy DrMOS power stage array for Ryzen 9000, DDR5 with high overclocked memory support, PCIe 5.0 graphics and multiple PCIe 5.0 M.2 sockets, USB4 and high-speed networking. Note that the rear-connector layout means this board needs a case designed for it.
